Website Accessibility – your role

We’re taking a forward-thinking approach to advising local authorities on what updates need to be made to their existing websites and offering guidance on ensuring accessibility is part of the specification at the beginning of a new build.

We can:

  • Support you in meeting these new guidelines with a website review
  • Provide a detailed report that highlights measures already in place and areas requiring action to comply with WCAG
  • Provide recommendations for addressing the findings

In addition to work that may be required to update your website, it is also important that you are aware of your role as content editors on your directory platform. We have put together an accessibility guide which you can access here to help you navigate the new WCAG when editing your content.
